There are certain times when teeth need to be extracted.
This can be due to:
- Extensive tooth damage
- Severe gum disease
- Split or cracked teeth
- As part of orthodontic management
- Non-functional teeth
Some teeth are relatively easy to remove while others can be extremely difficult.
An x-ray is taken to assess the best method for the extraction, and this will be discussed with you.
The extraction can be performed under normal local anaesthetic or under oral sedation.
